Warpnet — Decentralized Social Network

Project overview

Warpnet is an open-source peer-to-peer social networking platform designed to operate without centralized platforms. It enables users to communicate and publish content through a decentralized network where identity, distribution and moderation are not controlled by a single authority.

The Warpnet core networking layer and protocol are already implemented. The next development stage focuses on improving usability, accessibility and privacy while enabling wider adoption through modern client applications.

The project will prioritize development of user-facing software and tools that make decentralized social networking accessible to a broader audience.

All project outputs will be released as open source (AGPL-v3).

Project goals

The project focuses on three major areas:

  1. Usable client applications

  2. Privacy-preserving decentralized infrastructure

  3. Content discovery and interoperability with existing platforms
